Can I tell you about what's really rattle my cage? And this has rattled it. Egg time. You go in these shots now. Every single staff member has a headset on. I'd rather than communicate with their customers. They don't mate in the back right. when you're just stuck in charge, I sort of go, a half get it when you're serving at a till. beep. Beep. No communication. and this is literally what she's done. She's gone. I lost it. And as he walked away, she started slagging him off to her other colleague. And I can hear it if co-op and listen to this You should be banned. it's so bad. They don't care, do they? but we know how hard it is in the retail sector at the moment. Right. What have I know? Because you've had to do your job I'm not going in there now. I'm boycotting a lot He. And I welcome back to the fate mark to myself, Nate Bollington, Michael Harris and a special guest today. Back seven weeks. Has it been seven? I think it's seven weeks. You haven't been in the prodigal. We've been. We've been getting into a good flow mark. And I've got to know usually pretty well. We have a good little time. We do good conversations and we ready to change the world now. Yeah. Okay. So I'm back. May the 2nd is May the 2nd overall move to 95. Now June. Long time up to 3456. I know you apologize. And seven members I've been busy. We turned up my and I kind of a, tech entrepreneur. Ask my CEO baby, CEO silicone Valley CEO up. Yeah, it's been the up in the future and you test. Drives myself the escapes of the moment is is. Yeah. You need to saw the how you're missing out on this one. I am with it. It's going to go on to Amazon and just get a new charge of 30s is what I've always been. Love beautifully. I'm aware I'm aware. When I was going around Paris last weekend, I was like this is because Uber, I remember this. They've got like the every single road is like is dedicated to a bicycle or a scooter is a car. Yes. Brilliant. They got their own thing is I'd be like, I would be all over this, I read everywhere. Okay, well, no, I'm just saying I'm not. I'm a guy. I'm just saying it sounds like everything is not actually catered for. It is great. Is it really? I'm glad to be back. Yeah. Pick on him. Well, we left the last podcast. In the last podcast, which we left, we were talking about things you'd want to be catching up with, telling us about what's been going on with some big things. Charge. But not long. So much has gone on. I couldn't even tell you. Well, we can we could talk about, Well, there is actually, there is something I want to talk about tonight because it rattles my cage. And I lost it less than the co-op. Lost step in co-op. In co-op. Honestly, this is being just to do with marketing. Just general marketing slash customer service. And it's been this been going on. I don't know marketing just because they we can get on the never I won't go back and then now they've lost my custom. Are you your nearest co-op just down the road of co-op as a brand or just like I'd have to think about it, Michael, because it's there's been some grind my gears for about a probably 4 to 5 months now. Is this a co-op or a coop because they rebranded some of them, haven't they. They've been really nice. Or have you got one like in Wells boom. It's the old blue Coat co-op sign AG regardless, they're the same name, but same purchase, just better products. But right before I get into my mind about the co-op, because I'm I'm even now it's make them available before we get to that also got in my life or Rupert version two is life. Yeah. Well indeed we've had a few complications of that couple. I'm sorry. I shall call you day. Yeah. We had a few complications but we're now live, which is good. And I can now officially say we are award winning. Yeah. Right. But as I start the of the year for the Midlands region. Yeah. I mean, now we're now the final ten in the UK. Yeah. But I was about to Egypt when I was recording it. When you like read out you know that doing that like nominees. Yeah. And then he went like I'm great. But anyway you can hear it. Can you get. Say award winner. And that was the title for the books. Well that venue to you YouTube were pretty confident money. Yeah. Well never for asking me so called at the big one. Yeah. It's quite good title so yeah it's gonna be good. See I had not lots going on. Right. But we're now marks is about to start again. Brought in a CTO which is massive. Yeah. New website. There's just there a lot going on that's about to go. Life that's about to go. Yeah. All that started to go, tens of years ago. The good thing is, is that we've laid a very, very solid foundation now it's it's got tens of users now. I can't wait to. It is flying in 20 a day, 30 day one we go, do you. Right. Well, we got Michael and we already. Good. Extend the free trial to 30 days. Whilst we're done. Tone of voice. Now, in the settings, you do your own custom tone of voice, uploaded documents, putting a URL to your website. Yeah. You can also say goes in sales category if you talk to other. Yeah. So rather than all the comments being into three categories which is negative positive and neutral, it now goes into six which is positive. Sales opportunities, customer service inquiries, negative trolling and spamming and general interest. So it's really a chance to see it in the day. So we've heard back from some clients how many sales opportunities they're actually getting, which is interesting. Have you had that yet. Oh you said you're waiting to hear back. Now I like to go on and have a look. So it's interesting just seeing now the data is feeding through. Yes. There's good. Yeah. So all in all it's all right. I say there's a bit of com. Yeah. Before we're going to deploy all four, five further sprints which need to be signed off now by Matt and then deploy, to which I'm really not looking forward to doing. I can forward to why. Well, the because it's gone right this far when we've deployed something next. So I'm are those is TikTok YouTube and loads of other stuff that I can't remember as in detect on YouTube will suddenly hopefully just work. Yeah, yeah. And we'll work out those accounts. Yep. Yeah. That'll be done in the next few weeks. Could it be sooner? To be fair, it's just now Matt keeping on. You got to take some time with some bonus. Yeah I'm sure the remarkable life there's not. So that's not you know. Yes. Yeah I hopefully there's nothing so a lot going on. If we were talking about bugs, this room would be full of flies when not. Yeah. Yeah. Bugs. Yeah. Tell us about the run games. Yeah, I've done a run. I thought it was a 100 miles. I get. I'm in pain. So bear in mind, we've record this on a Thursday, and I know Wednesday because of childcare and stuff. Now, and I never really moan too much after a race because that's death. Typically, I'm in pain now. When was the one? Last Friday. Saturday morning. Saturday morning. 100 miles finished at ten parsecs. Sunday morning and, And. Yeah, still in pain. Now I'm somewhere where hurts most. My knees racing virtually throb. So your knees throbbing. Yeah I'm atos I couldn't have a shower this morning because every time on a shower or the because there's a lot of nausea come there. It's all loosening and skin up again. And it's. And then you hear it, you can feel it throbbing. So I thought, I will not. I said I wasn't in the vlog. And you speaking to in class. Yeah. Did she get as well? She did. Yeah. How did she go. She did the same hundred mile. Yeah. She's finish it literally about four seconds after me. Not before. No no she took she, she to be fair she been alright with it. I was on Twitter, you know, and a blog blogger was at in you on a call and it was okay I'm seeing. Yeah. For a new line. Yeah. I'm not done. I did the first, first 50 miles in nine. I was ten like it was two marathons and 50. Yeah. And we don't know if that's good or not. We don't know how long it takes to run a marathon. So it's 4.5 hours, a marathon. Nicely. That's not too bad. These what? I've been up to them. I had a load of chafe in between my legs. What would someone reasonably fit think? They're going to go and do the London Marathon, though. Try and finish it. Subfour. Okay. Now, does your family of of this do it uncomfortable I did it yeah. Was two of those and you saw her there at the finish at the beginning or. Yeah. So at the beginning, yeah. Did you know she was into running and stuff? Yeah. Yeah yeah yeah. Okay. It buzzes. Might say I got the, Now run so good them my isn't it in four hours just right. Yeah. So she so is our boy or girl boy. So he, he just like religion. So he did that in four hours. Yeah. So I've just it's a little bit more than twice. I actually did four times. I did do it four times. Full marathon. The elevation was disgusting. 4000m. It's a lot of guys can't be done in the country. Work out when you say things like this. This is like those TikToks. There's no way the guy comes to the door. I don't do it tonight. Yeah. It doesn't matter. It's just what we say was Snowden. What Snowden not must be to survive over a long period of time, over those hundred miles. Said it was 1000 to 90. Followed me. Yes, I've gone up there. I've got another four times while running a hundred. So would it be that you've gone up a hill for a bit? You go down the back. Going up the hill is classed as the elevation. Yeah. So you. So you did all I did. Yeah. The turn up to 4000. Yeah. So that's how much uphill you've had to run over under miles. Yeah. 4000m ups. It's a beast. Yeah. Yeah. It's not some fun. Nice. There's there wasn't going out. So what works that out. The the your app. Oh it's sent me race. You just. Yeah. Whoever the race organizer is when you when they do and do a racket they they know this all the time to. Okay. Now so yeah. Because the last one kicking. Yeah. Before because you know when you're on, when you're alongside the podcast with Nick. So I appreciate Michael. Now Michael now shows I was producer Michael on my podcast people. So I was I'm guy on if he's got any questions or he wants to input inputs to them a set of mind still. You know, talk about yeah. Good. All right. Can I go on? Can I tell you about what's really rattle my cage? Yeah. And this has rattled it. Egg time. Not a little bit. And this sucks that this been going on now for a good few months. I've let it go, but I've been in pain, so. You go in these shots now. It doesn't matter. Workshop. You got to I don't know I don't know if the big. I think the big supermarkets have them. They definitely run the checkouts and stuff. Every single staff member has a headset on. Yeah, yeah. Oh yeah. Yeah I can cope especially. Yeah. I'd rather than communicate with their customers. They don't mate in the back right. Yeah. So it's been going on for a while. I've noticed this in my co-op because I'm going to I'm not going to say I could blow my gasket with this. So I've not I've let it go because I'm like, I'm only pumping him for milk. Whatever. Right? I get it and I get it as a part time job, you can't really be assed. I, I've 35, but when you're on, when you're just stuck in charge, I sort of go, I don't you crave it but a half get it when you're serving at a till. Don't die. So. So yes, I had nothing to eat. So pop. So carb grabs a couple of beef burgers. At three items. Come and, So I'll put it on the phone. Haha. You know, communication, right? I've been looking at me. This go has on talk. So am I to my beep. Beep. No communication. Beep. I guess I must look. Should I say how much it is? Rather than you communicate to me how much it is? So after I'm done that there's no. Would you like a or anything like that? And then. And then I get and this is literally what she's done. She's gone. I lost it. And I'm. Where's you manager. Sorry. Where the is your manager now? Why is that him round this? I've run out. So you the manager of this place, man? Anyone? No, no. Why? I said all of you in his shop. I've lost four months. I've come in here. All of you are on your headset, not communicating with any customers. But you mates in the back. I said so poor as it's bad enough for you not doing it when you stocking shelves, let alone you like seven. the head one completely. It's so rude. It's so so I actually think it's only co-op. I cannot if co-op and listen to this I. You should be banned. Yeah. Why do they need. Why do they need it. What do they need? You're wrong. Because to to. This is why I think I think they need it. So in the wells boom where I am, they there's so little staff in there. Like someone's out the back, someone's stacking shelves. I would say that three times out of five, someone or me or whoever's having to try and get someone's attention to come to the tilt. Yeah, because they want the two self checkouts. And then you got to tell it I was yeah. And if I need to pay by the till or because I've got beer or something and they're going to have to come anyway because I got to go put it on the thing. Where are they. They know to be around but they know them. But then there's they'll be you obviously. Right. I've heard them having a chat. They're just stacking the shelves. It really wasn't me. I'm the one I got was in co-op, where she spilled some cream and a guy was in a rush, not paying attention, really, and walked over to get something. And she would, And then he stood in the cream shop. I'm really sorry. I was like, oh my God, I'm so sorry. I was not paying attention. So she was just like, oh, you okay? You not being all like customer service. And then I'm still standing there. And as he walked away, she started slagging him off to her other colleague. And I can hear it as a customer standing there. And these like middle aged women know when they're in, they're like 50s. Yeah, 5060s or something. Guys, just that sort of job. And I'm like, you do that out the back. Laughter or jokes. Me and it's so bad. They they're so moody in that. Yeah, I think his co-op thinks he's small co-op, but yours must be a big, busy co-op being one. Your neck is busy. This isn't like. No, it's it's every time it like it's busy. Mine's. Mine's massive and not busy. It's. I don't even know how it's still running. To be fair, I honestly, I've been grinding on me for a few months now. Yeah, I didn't go in for office today, but I was in all pain. I didn't want to go out anyway. Laughs a and it's just it's so poor. Like I remember back in the day because I'm, I sort of I always, I always try and go right. If I was there I just kind of be now. Right? When I used to work at Woolworths, I try and get out the back as much as I could and whatever, right? But when you're on the tail, you're on the tail and you're communicating with customers and you would you want a bag or. Thank you sir, thank you madam. What? Like it's just normal. We're not in a Waitrose but what you're good at because it Waitrose. It's like you're treated like a king. But what? But why? Why these why teenagers are these teenagers are older ones? No, these are teenagers. All right. So if the older ones are just as bad and. Yeah, but on this occasion, these a kid, like, who's brought you up. Yeah. No. Them tells them not to do it. I just think that's the thing. It's bad management, isn't it? No one's telling them. Why do you need to wear a headset to communicate with each other? I honestly, I cannot, I cannot understand. It's like giving a load of mobiles at work. Oh, by the way, you roll out to other on them as well. This is fine. They're on them. As I put the eggs, I'm not going in there now. I'm boycotting a lot honestly I got I was so I got home nice do if you run out of food and you haven't I'd rather drive two hours to. I'm not going in there now. I'm not spend any money. That's. You don't got the car. Second fire. You need a scooter and his scooter. But how about I can? I know what you mean. I'm not. Got on and off. That's boycotting it. Yeah, I'm boycott until I go in there. And they have got. Haven't got headsets on. I'm not interested. Yeah. But you've, they've lost a customer now and you and I spent on. Yeah. But you know it's like when you've got kids. Yeah. I need to pop in and grab this. that. They're not having a penny off me now. Yeah. rude. I really, really, really wow me up big time. Did you get to the manager? No, I had it gone that the older lad who I was speaking to is, you know, you know, four year old guy couldn't give a What do you mean? I. It's. They don't care, do they? Tesco's banned staff from wearing headphones amid customer outcry. This was in November. Okay so so even Tesco's and so Tesco's have banned staff from wearing headphones on the shop floor. The move in in the supermarket giants updated uniform policy requires staff to not wear headphones while customer facing areas on the shop floor. Although privacy part of the supermarket's health and safety policy requirement is now included. The uniform This change comes amid declining customer satisfaction scores at the chain, according. To the independent industry body. it is understood to be to be aimed at making sure staff are responsive as possible staff in cries but excludes those wearing hearing aids. As well as going so many answers is included in that, that should come out all right. Okay. Others. But there's still space time, so I'm, it's, I honestly, like, I think of, like, I know we were in different market altogether. We're not customer facing in terms of in the retail place, but we know how hard it is in the retail sector at the moment. Right. And you need to do anything to just make sure that any customers that will come through the door are spending more happy. Yes, they keep coming back, see lifetime value increases. Right. And we know how hard it is that carries on. No I got no one can be asked. Yeah I did stay for some shoes that she, she was a bit rude to me in that suit place so she was completely fine. Yeah. Right. Whatever. So I wanted those loafers. I picked up the ones I wanted. Right. And I tried them on, and I was all of it targeting different size and better. Much? Yes. Go out the back and get it inside. But see job. Yeah. Yeah. No, she's just for reference, everyone. This isn't like a massive shop. This is a small shop that's probably five meters. Four meters wide by maybe 60m. The all the way to the back of this room. Yeah. So maybe another hundred and £50, right? I'm not just going to go and drop. I want to make sure that. Right. And I'm going to get use out there and I'm going to hurt my feet and blah, blah blah. Yeah. So I'm trying them on and doing this. I mean, the five minutes trying to go slow, maybe you should do that. Should be really helpful and stuff. And I'm just I know and she's trying to sell and I'm like, I might just get my girlfriend to come on because she's only going to do the color and then she'll ask me, yeah, Jermaine. Yeah, I'll just bring her on Saturday and we'll just have a look while we do refurb. We can you can do a refund policy, you know, trying to get you to just get them home. Fine. I get this all sales process, but then I'm sort of like she's gone out the back rules. I mean, I've, colleague comes out and he's being helpful but good enough guy at the moment I'm thinking, these two are really nice guys. I'll get back down to the front again, and I'm sort of looking through them and thinking, what I need is this, like, gray pair. And the reason I had a spot in the first place, because I had a bit more of a normal leather look and I wanted something a bit more brushed suede. Yeah. So I picked them. I said, do you have these in a with these better. You've got these in the same size. And she went, oh, you didn't pick those up in the first place. And I it's a comment like that. And I went, nobody knows in the first place. What do you want me to do, pick up eight pairs and go? I might be interested in all these dishes I go, but I'll go line. So it's like I'm the only customer in there. What have I know? Because you've had to do your job and I know you do that. I didn't just go, there's £150. But it's so bad. I don't even like it when, you know, when there's, like, people on the tables, there's like a person 10% of the time they're talking to each other. I'm talking to you. Yeah. No, because you're the customer. You've walked into a place and you should be the only main focus, while you're always there will come with close talking to anybody and let somebody come. Would you stop talking? Yeah. Because that's like talk to them is fine. But but they've they've literally lost. Yeah I'm gone I'm saying. I don't I don't care how like that. How anybody can find that susceptible. I don't to know that you're on the till serving a customer. And you're talking to your mate who's in the back. On what planet? I think by the people on the shop floor don't care. And then the manager doesn't care, so it just so trickles down. Yeah. Yeah, it all comes from the top. Has enough to why? Don't care. People care. It all comes from the top. They've been paid minimum wage. Should be a minimum wage. Like £11 now. No, no. Well it's not that much. But it's like a like that people respected probably just like, you know, I'm just here to get a paycheck, which I can, but still. No, no, later is so poor, so, so poor. It needs to be looked at. Yeah, it does. We should be interested to see what their comments are. What do you want to write? Comment. Why do you comment? Oh we're going to put that publish this I'm gonna put a link down I see I can't eat my shorts. You can tag them in. Yeah I'm fucking Honestly, it's so poor. I it's been going on for a while. This isn't like me just having one experience. Yeah, I go in, I go in. I know this is going annoy me. That's why I don't go into supermarkets. Because people are trolleys. I do, I'm sorry. I some walked past of his kids and didn't say mean. I thank you and I clearly let them go. And I have to say, you kids are going to grow. Well, I may I can't, I can't stop, I can't help myself. There's a girl with my co-op. He's obviously at a level on the spectrum. She just talk so self and I don't know whether she's talking to me or some. I backwash is just talking to herself. I think I've figured it out that she's just mumbling to herself, but she's got ahead. So because I've seen her when she's not wearing a headset, just all mumbling to herself, well, that's a little bit different. You, I said this. I did say this. If I don't, I don't know if it's just because I'm getting older, but I'm I'm becoming so annoyed with things at the moment. Just just government stuff. And I just like, you know, HS2 is now delayed. It won't be done until like fucking 2120 or something ridiculous. And I whose idea was I you honestly for I've got one about that. This is what I don't understand. And I don't know if anyone's got the answer right. So I just also Rachel Reeves is just a robot. She's a cyborg. Just. So when I went to, avian a couple of weeks back, flew into my. Flew in. Flew into Marseilles. Yeah. Went to the train station. Got a train ticket. Quite expensive. It wasn't even like 30 miles or 30 minutes. Just like €35 each single. It's quite a lot. But we're on one of these double decker trains. Yeah, yeah, SSN fc, I think I transport this thing rock. It's like like on it. You just. Well, we walked the stairs. I was like this. I was like, I think there's a we're in the wrong carriage. This is like, seriously plush. This is the whole train. You go up the stairs like a and then you're in these, massive armchairs with the table and stuff, like, honestly. Unbelievable. And then I said to Zoe, my son's girlfriend, who's from France, she was like, yeah, that's what a motorway trains. We're going to do a journey. Most of our trains like that. Yes. You have different ones for small one. They're all like that. How how have we as the UK being this powerful nation that we are, just don't have? How, how, how can France have these all over places? Normal branded looking trains? When I stood on a platform, one came past. It's this thing must be going 150 miles an hour. It was incredible. We've been waiting. How long for this HS2 to do one line? They've got them going all over France, all over the map, all over the place. How, whose money are they using? Why haven't we got that money to make these? And why is it so quick? Why have we not heard anyone in France go build that new train line, which is going to take 30 years. Why is it all so quick? I don't know. I don't, I want to know. I train is a pretty impressive. Oh, there are honestly just the cost that it's just. Yeah, just. I'm. I don't get it. I don't get it. Got the double decker drivers who got children. Right. Well, an answer will probably owned a major owned by the government, so won't give it to us at after my government. So I saw a clip on, LBC of Nick Ferrara. Ferrari kind of, you know. Yeah. And, and one of the. Yeah. The economics minister on on that and, she was talking about, the new, Dartford Bridge and he's arco. She didn't know either. Man. This is a this is going to cost 10 billion pounds, right, for this bridge. And obviously for an infrastructure perspective, obviously it's going to be huge. I don't know enough about it. Right. But a is 10 billion which I'm like oh where's that contract guy. Because it surely doesn't cost 10 billion to build a bridge. But I don't know the and I said might do I can I said just one night. So let's say it just seems like a lot of money. But she didn't know how much it was. Is this Rachel Reeves? Now this is the economics minister, right? Yeah. She didn't know how much it was going to cost. He had to tell her. She didn't know why we were starting from where it was finishing. Well, she need to talk about the bridge. Yeah, that's what she was on there for. And honestly, he said it's a six minute clip. And he said, oh no. I said, I'm sorry. Mr.. I'm trying to think if there's any reason for me to continue this conversation. I'm saying again, she's in she's in charge of our economics and she's gone to to that discuss this bridge and how it's going to, you know, support them instead of structural. And she has no idea. Yeah. And I'm not saying that I'm any better, but what is going on? Honestly. Yeah, it's it's it's absolute Burke Secretary. It's the truth. Honestly, it's I, she got, like, going on and then you go to co-op and you want to milk. You just want to. Would you like a bag, sir? I'm not getting that. I just tried to do nothing with any other people. It's. That's the easiest thing, isn't it? You know, it's hard. It's hard. Yeah. I'm glad to be back. Okay. We'll do a marketing next week. But it is marketing. Yeah, it's customer service. It's customer service. Yeah, especially of retail. Struggling retail is on his ass. It's on his absolute knees, you know, and you're getting served by some book they're on. You can do on a burrito delivery or whatever. Get it in like 20 minutes. But even that's a joke. But Michael, even that's a disgrace, right? Not as in terms of the service, but no one can cook. I can not believe Michael got my, I'll show you officers, Mark. Okay. But what I'm saying is what? Most people can't cook. Not. That's why we've got such a problem here with, our health. And like, the fresh cooking that's happening in, in Europe, where they cook everything from fresh. Not many fat people in Paris or in France. Right? I'm sure there is. I'm sure there is. But there's not many like you see here. And I said, desirous of not, should I? Because while food isn't completely mass produced, processed, and our bread is just flour and water and some salt. Yeah. The flat, the.
