For. He. Hello, everyone. Welcome to another episode of The Saint Mark. My name is Michael. A bit of a different intro. Normally, I'm not the ones doing these intros. It's normally Nick and James, but we had some audio issues with the first sort of 15 minutes of this podcast, So I tried to fix them, but I just don't think it sounds very good. So instead of hurting your ears with that audio, I'm just going to explain a bit about what this episode's about. Before we get into the second half. So today we're talking about the power of storytelling, why storytelling is important, and how it can help you and your brand when marketing, when using social media. So first of all, we had Nick talking about one of his ads clinic clients who works in the sort of medical health care area or sector. And he was talking about how with their ads, they're trying to make sure they tell a story. Which can be really powerful for sort of health care brands and that sort of thing here's a story of somebody who was in your position. Here's where they are now. Here's how it helped. Sort of helps you to relate a bit more to the story and kind of will call out people a bit like we always talk about on this podcast with dog whistle copy. People can relate a lot more to that sort of story, more so than you just kind of saying, here's the things it can do. If someone can give their story. Yeah, you can just relate to a bit more if you think of like TV ads for like charities and stuff. Instead of just talking, generally they'll focus maybe on one particular individual just to kind of pull on those heartstrings. So that was one example. We also talked about some of the brands people like simmer, simmer are obviously really good. We talk about them all the time on this podcast. But yeah, simmer have been really good about integrating their story into sort of their whole brand. Where all of their ads, if you look at any of their content or their ads online, you'll see they're always about the family sort of aspect. The found about him, how he grew up, his parents, how they're connected to the business and employed by the business. Now. So yeah, I think it's just a really powerful way of getting people on board. Getting people to engage, especially if you do in longer form content or video content, but even written content as well. Nick was talking about how many miles you can try and tell that story throughout the email to sort of get people to keep reading, trying to find a way to rather than just write down a load of stuff, think, how can we make this into a story with sort of a beginning, a middle and an end, which will hopefully get people to do whatever you're trying to get them to do, whether that's buy a product or sign up for a course or whatever it might be. So yeah, we spoke a bit about that. And then also went on to talking about our road to a thousand years is how me and James have sort of been back and forth trying to really nail that storytelling aspect, which has been a bit difficult. But I think we're getting there, especially with the newer ones. Coming back onto this conversation, Nick was talking about how he'd seen one of the road to a Thousand Users episodes. It was the we're turning It around, one which you can find on the Rupert Channel if you're interested. So, yeah, he'd watch that video and get back into the podcast now where he's talking about his feedback that he had for this episode. be such. I met her play my gallery music. And then what's this? This piece is called Comedian by Maurizio Cattelan, For.
